Birdwatching

Our resident bird expert Denis leads birdwatching sessions at the Bird Hide in Tramore Nature Park. With binoculars and telescopes provided, Denis guides attendees through the variety of birdlife visible throughout the backstrand - it's a treat for seasoned bird lovers and novices alike!

Since its foundation, members of the group have been recording rare sightings of birds and wildlife in Tramore and its surrounding areas. Some of these sightings include a Hawfinch, Pelicans and a Brook Lamprey.

 The group also collate their sightings with other groups including Birdwatch Ireland, The Irish Whale & Dolphin Group, the National Biodiversity Data Centre and Seal Rescue Ireland.
